"Hey guys, Lmacomstore for programming and security community is here! "
today I'm gonna tell you how I got my current job as a remote penetration tester [ My Story as a Penetration Tester]  and how you can get yours too and if you stick all the way to the end, you'll understand the number one key concept for actually getting loads of opportunities in the field well alright so now let me actually tell you all about my current main cybersecurity job and how I got it and not only that but also how I keep getting job offers like every week ok so the current company I work with as a remote penetration tester is called cyber Dacians which is a Romanian cybersecurity startup that's been awarded funds from the European Union and I'm actually proud to be one of the first five people in this company which after only a few months I would say of getting started has grown quite substantially now the question is how it all came to be okay now let's actually go back in time four to five years ago like circa 2014-2015
back then I was very frustrated because of I tried teaching myself coding at least three or four times and I actually fade like miserably because I was trying to learn Java so that I would my thought back then was to develop Android apps and the funny thing is that I later actually developed for Android apps without actually having to learn Java or kotlin or other languages that are used to actually code Android apps these days but that's probably a whole different story okay so unable to digest so to speak Java I said to myself that for the last the time I will try teaching myself coding and if I were to fail again I would simply move on and forget all about it so with a little bit of research I decided upon Python and that was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made because of it immediately caught on to me and a few months in with Python and I was already programming my own script so to speak and I still to this day constantly strive to improve my Python skills on a couple of interactive online platforms. okay so at the same time with me becoming literate and Python I actually caught interest of cybersecurity probably the most important aspect of it, I started actually practicing on platforms such as phone hub and hack the box after all cybersecurity is all about being hands-on super practical I keep saying these guys so make sure this becomes your mantra you will not become good in cybersecurity and penetration testing simply by passively reading a book so mark my words okay so it all started with Python then I would become a self-proclaimed student of cybersecurity as well and at the very same time I was bragging all about it on everywhere on social media on the group's I was in I joined Reddit communities I started following InfoSec people on Twitter and YouTube and LinkedIn I joined this court server, by the way, come join our discord the community of cyber tech people where we actually, talk about all aspects of cybersecurity and as you might guess and I started sharing them all over my social media like I said including Facebook groups now fast-forward to early 2019 one particular day I actually shared a recent YouTube video on a Facebook cybersecurity group and a few hours later I received a friend request so this guy was excited about the fact that I was showing my skills and we actually talked in a friendly matter and we kept we said that we're gonna keep in touch and a couple of weeks later he sent me this message if I would be interested in a remote cybersecurity an opportunity so he referred me to the founders of the startup and that's how it all became history so a couple of months later I met the guy in London so feelings ok now cyber Dacians is a modern company with members from all around the world so as of now, we've had a number of projects and most recently the technical team the cyber nation's wolves as we like to call ourselves has grown a lot since so I'm actually really looking forward for four things for the things to come and like I said in the meantime I keep getting offers via multiple channels especially LinkedIn and now so pay close attention the number one key concept make sure you write this down in your Notes app the number one key concept is to put yourself out there build your LinkedIn profile has a complete LinkedIn profile connect with cybersecurity people follow them on Twitter join Facebook groups and also the score server and start interacting with people most importantly since cybersecurity is a hands-on thing to show your skills.

Best regards!
